• ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center  - Do you think your pet has been exposed to a toxic substance?  Check this website for informative articles or a phone number to call if you need a consultation.    
• Pet Microchip Lookup - This website is a universal microchip lookup tool. If a lost pet's microchip number is entered, the search tool will bring up the most likely manufacturer for that chip and provide a contact number for the company.  This can help return lost pets to their homes.
  
• American Veterinary Medical Association - This site is a good place to learn more about the latest topics and news in veterinary medicine.
• American Animal Hospital Association - Learn more about the organization that promotes the highest standards in veterinary care.
• Chicago Veterinary Medical Association  - The local branch of the American Veterinary Medical Association. There is also a link provided for pet loss support resources.
• American Association of Feline Practitioners - The AAFP is like the American Medical Association for cat doctors, and has lots of good information regarding feline health.
• Cornell University Feline Health Center - Cornell Veterinary College also has a website dealing with cats' unique medical needs.
• Morris Animal Foundation - MAF funds research to protect, treat, and cure animals. Donations can also be made in memory of a person or pet.
• Veterinary Schools in the US - This is a great link to all of the websites of veterinary schools in the United States.
• Best Friends Animal Sanctuary - A large animal sanctuary located in Utah, providing both foster care and permanent homes for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, potbellied pigs, and parrots. They also have a wildlife shelter and rehabilitation program.
