What is AAHA Accreditation?
Palos Animal Hospital has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association since 1979. Veterinary practices choose to become accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association for many reasons, including the desire to:
- Have challenging benchmarks to reach
- Remain up-to-date on changes in veterinary medicine
- Improve practice operations
- Ensure the highest quality patient care
We are regularly inspected every few years by the American Animal Hospital Association to ensure that we maintain our compliance with the standards for record keeping, diagnostic tests, anesthesia, surgery, medicine, and housekeeping. Our most recent inspection was August 24, 2010, and we are proud to be part of the 15% of AAHA-accredited hospitals in the United States and Canada.
